1. Would you like it if NEDMUG went to a *Mostly* LiveMeeting based group? LiveMeeting would not be used if the presentation is of a Hardware product.

Yes! I can't attend normal meetings because of time or distance. (1) 10%
No! I like going to the meetings in Waltham and "Being There" in person. (3) 30%
Maybe. It's ok to do LiveMeetings for slides and software demos, but I want to be there live other products. (6) 60%

As you can see the forums are now fixed.

However, I lost all the old posts. I tried as hard as I could not to lose the old posts, but felt it was more important just to get the forums working again.

I hope you all agree with me. Enjoy!

Cant Play Movies on extenders

I have both the Linksys and Xbox 360, set them up, shared the folders, created the links, i can see and add movies in the extenders but when i try to play them i get an error "DVD PLAY - An error occured while trying to play your selection."

My Setup is as follows

PC - Vista Ultimate with Service Pack 1

Movies are on 2 Western Digital My Book Hard Drives

2tb World Edition My Books on the network through an ethernet connection

Xbox 360 and Linksys DMA2200

I can click on the symbolic links wvx files which i have on the local C drive on my media center pc and they play in windows media player,

This i can do with both extenders, but everything is there but cant play movies.

Re: Cant Play Movies on extenders

I too have this problem, it plays in media player but not center.  I also can't get any kind of picture for the movie going, I have put folder.jpg in both original and fake linked VIDEO_TS folders.  Any suggestions would be great.

Re: Cant Play Movies on extenders

I have the same problem.  I finally worked through the process for getting the DVD Library to appear, but when I hit Play, I get an error message "An error occured while trying to play your selection".  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks
